Hello our names are Duane and Becky Wright. We are the proud owners of Wright’s Marine Construction Company. Our business is one of the oldest surviving businesses at Pickwick Lake. While some of the businesses have been at Pickwick many years the ownerships have changed many times, but we are proud to say that our company has been serving Pickwick Lake since 1968 under the ownership of the same family. My father started a small boat repair business on Pickwick Lake in 1968 and due to the off seasons being very slow we had to do small repair work and replace some boat houses and docks. I personally grew up spending most of my days working on or around Pickwick Lake. Since I have always grown up in the business, in 1988 Becky and I decided that we would like to purchase the business from my father and continue the family business since working around Pickwick Lake has been something that we have always done and loved. Along with the boat repair business we added the manufacturing of boat lifts and boat docks. We mostly did 100% of the building and installation of all our docks for many years until our business grew so much that we could no longer do both the manufacturing and installation for all of our docks. That’s when we decided to join forces with Wahoo Docks and now we enjoy working with their engineers on designing, engineering and manufacturing all of our docks to most of the custom specs that our customers desire. Working with Wahoo Docks has really allowed us to build a lot more docks and boathouses because we can spend more of our time and equipment out on the lake doing the installs. This marriage of our two companies has allowed us to be able to offer a lot more different styles of docks and has allowed us to be able to get our customers their new docks a lot faster. Since being located at Pickwick Lake most of the folks in our area already know and support our business very well but we realize that our part of the country is growing very fast and new people are moving in all the time and we would love to meet everyone, so please feel free to stop in and visit with us and find our how much more our company has to offer.
